Becoming Einstein's Teacher Awakening the Genius in Your Students

How to instill the habits of purpose-driven learning
and self-evaluation without altering your curriculum,
getting frustrated with technology or leaving students behind.

Thousands of teachers, parents, and education leaders are already using this unique,
scalable learning framework
with their students, you are almost guaranteed to see a
fast academic improvement when you tap into this one resource every student already has!

We observed how they teach and learn:

5,000+ teachers and 117,000 students

Here is what we learned:

The one learning resource ALL students
already have that enables learning for life

without an extra-curriculum, new tech,
more hours in class, or endless homework nights!

There is a BIG DIFFERENCE between teaching a group of students every day...

… and enabling students to learn for life, wouldn't you agree?

I have been blessed with a unique opportunity to observe how thousands of teachers teach and students learn, see what's working and what's not working, and create a process to repeat and scale what works.

In the last 15 years, my team and I observed the work of over 5,000 teachers and 117,000 students in their daily experience of teaching and learning to the best of their abilities.

Aiming at finding a pattern of what made some teachers successful, while others worked an insane number of extra hours to get a small win.

As you can imagine, this was NOT a quick or easy process

We drew many connections, but a lot of them ended up leading us into some big "dead ends," perhaps because of old beliefs in which the education system is conceived.

But then something cool happened...

As We Kept Digging, Analyzing and Researching, a Set of Patterns Emerged...

We found that it had almost NOTHING to do with:

  • The perfect curriculum…

  • The latest education app...

  • Whether the school is urban or rural…

  • More or less sit-time…

  • Students' IQ...

  • Or even the number of students in the classroom!

But instead, it had everything to do with teachers' ability to:

  • Identify what interests students...

  • Understand how to tap into their innate motivation…

  • How well they can help them link what they already know to a new knowledge...

  • Build their understanding of the learning process...

  • Transform how students use knowledge from “passing the exam” to "life transformational tools" to reach their dreams!

These Teachers Had Mastered the Art of Being the Enabler of their Students' Intrinsic Motivation

And then Helping them Achieve the Results that they Dream for Their Future!

Many teachers get intrigued when they hear me say "Intrinsic Motivation" because they think they need to be neuroscientists to work at that level.

"But Erika... I'm never going to enable ALL of my students to be motivated like that to learn... Some of them don't even like my subject!"

For those who are thinking that, I want to reaffirm that I’ve seen it happening with teachers of urban and rural schools, in homeschooling, using technology or a notebook, with tight grading systems, tough curriculum requirements, and many other restrictions.

By incorporating practices that inspire students to learn, teachers can guide them towards realizing their dreams on their own terms, even within a traditional education setting.

Think About Every Person that You Know
Who Lived to Make a Difference in the World…

Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, Abraham Lincoln, Amelia Earhart, Thomas Edison, Ruth Ginsburg, Steve Jobs, and so many others!

  • What force drove them to be who they were?

  • Where did they find the inspiration and motivation to be that person?

  • Who were in the background in the early years, coaching them, supporting them, and guiding them to be better than themselves each day?

  • Who taught them to find the answers to their burning questions?

  • And who celebrated with them, even when not present?

YES! In every case, people who make a difference had people around them who mastered how to enhance students’ learning experience and enable them to learn anything they want, for life!

What leaders are saying about Becoming Einstein’s Teacher

“Becoming Einstein's Teacher is a stroke of genius, a personal journey that compiles the thoughts of modern education leaders into a comprehensive and inspiring deep look into how we got here and how to move forward to harness the genius in each of us. Every chapter leaves me saying ‘hell yeah!’”
- Virginia Emmons, School Principal and mother of two.

“Becoming Einstein’s Teacher is a tour de force –clear, precise, accessible, practical, inspiring, and engaging. It is as if each section could stand as a book in and of itself, although the entire workflows seamlessly in addressing learning issues. Chapter 6, ‘Learning in the AI Age,’ was particularly illuminating. The centerpiece of the volume—the Relational Learning Framework—is compelling. Relational Learning, delivered efficiently, effectively and scalable, is an educational philosophy which will bring lasting benefits to learners, teachers, and society at large.” – Dr. Jerry Haar, Professor and Executive Director for the America’s College of Business.

"Becoming Einstein's Teacher is definitively a complementary addition to my work with personalized learning and Habits of Mind. It provides insight into what it means to be a teacher in the 21st century. Understanding it and putting it into practice may be a challenging task for those who have been teaching for many years. Yet, Erika manages to simplify a deep and complex methodology that honors the 21st-century learners’ need for relationships, agency, and engagement. " - Dr. Bena Kallick, Educator, Author.

“The most challenging aspect to consider when introducing anything to teachers is the requirement to change. Becoming Einstein’s Teacher asks for no change, but to start from where teachers are. Brilliant!” – Leonardo Garnier, former Minister of Education, Costa Rica.
